Allendorf (pps) Germany’s Tatjana Huefner, 2006 Olympic bronze medallist, and team
colleague Jan Eichhorn who took sixth place at the 2006 Olympics, both have a new
sponsor. In the upcoming World Cup events they will both represent the colours of main
and title sponsors Viessmann. The German company further supports the doubles Patric
Leitner-Alexander Resch, 2002 Olympic champions at Salt Lake City. After his retirement
from his active career, the most successful luger of all times, Georg Hackl, will act as a
Viessmann Ambassador.
Among the athletes supported by Viessmann are biathletes Martina Glagow, Andrea
Henkel, Sven Fischer, Alexander Wolf (all of Germany), Raphaël Poirée (France) and, as
a new recruit this season, Tobias Angerer, Germany. René Sommerfeld and Axel
Teichmann represented the Viessmann colours already last season.
Further members of
the Viessmann Team are Germany’s Michael Uhrmann, Olympic fourth-placed in ski-
jumping, as well as Bjoern Kircheisen, Olympic silver medallist in Nordic Combined.
Apart from their numerous successes at Olympic Games, World Championships and
World Cup events the athletes of the Viessmann Team all have one thing in common –
their friendly appearance in public as well as their strong personal bond with the company.
