
Team Austria with track record to victory / Germany wins overall World Cup
Winterberg (FIL/26.02.2023) At the end of the 45th FIL EBERSPÄCHER World Cup season, eight Team Relays competed for the last time in the EBERSPAECHER Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW. With track record time of 2:22,732 minutes Team Austria with Madeleine Egle, Jonas Mueller and the double Juri Gatt/Riccardo Schoepf won ahead of Team Germany with Anna Berreiter, Max Langenhan and Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt (+0,559 sec.) and Team USA with Emily Sweeney, Tucker West and the double Zachary Di Gregorio/Sean Hollander (+0,838 sec.).

The team relays from Italy, Latvia, Romania and Poland finished fourth to seventh. The Chinese relay team was disqualified because of a false start. Held in the form since the 2010/11 season, it was the 5th World Cup victory for the Austrian team in the team relay.
The German quartet is the only relay team that had made it to the podium in all six team relays this season. With two victories and four second places they secured the overall World Cup in the EBERSPÄCHER Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW with 540 points ahead of Latvia (470 p.) and Team Austria (340 p.). It is the 12th overall World Cup victory in the Team Relay for Germany.
