Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and Rieder/Rastner first U23-World champions Cesana (pps) Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch (both of Germany) as well as Ludwig Rieder-Patrick Rastner of Italy will go down in luge history as the very first U23 World champions of the International Luge Federation, FIL. At the 42nd FIL Luge World Championships in Cesana, Italy, Natalie Geisenberger defeated team-mate Carina Schwab and Italy’s Sandra Gasparini to second and third place respectively. In the men’s singles, Felix Loch took the title ahead of Wolfgang Kindl and Reinhard Egger (both of Austria). Rieder-Rastner won the doubles’ ahead of Tristan Walker-Justin Snith (Canada). Bronze went to Toni Eggert-Sascha Benecken (Germany).
