Sigulda (pps) Sigulda, Latvia, hosted the 36th World Luge Championships last winter. The 2003 World champions at Sigulda were Germany’s Sylke Otto, Italy’s Armin Zoeggeler, Austria’s doubles Wolfgang Linger-Andreas Linger and Germany (Sylke Otto, Georg Hackl, Patric Leitner-Alexander Resch) in the Team Competition. The Latvian hosts gained two silver medals, Martins Rubenis in the men’s event and in the Team Competition.
