Park City (pps) All gold medals of the 37th World Championships at Nagano 2004 went to Germany. Germany also achieved a clean sweep of the medals in the women’s competition: Silke Kraushaar won gold, Barbara Niedernhuber silver and Sylke Otto bronze.
David Moeller (GER) grabbed the men’s title, silver went to Georg Hackl (GER), and bronze to Latvia’s Martins Rubenis. The 2002 Olympic champions Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch gained the World doubles title followed by their German team-mates André Florschuetz/Torsten Wustlich and Americans Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin.
Germany also won the team event with Barbara Niedernhuber, David Moeller and Leitner/Resch. The USA with Ashley Hayden, Tony Benshoof and Grimmette/Martin achieved silver, Italy with Anastasia Oberstolz-Antonova, Armin Zoeggeler and Oberstolz/Gruber bronze.
