The Olympic and Paralympic Medals of Milano Cortina 2026 Unveiled

Venice (FIL/July 15, 2025) In a celebration of excellence, unity, and Italian design, the official medals of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 were unveiled today in the historic Palazzo Balbi in Venice.
Accompanied by Italian sports legends Federica Pellegrini and Francesca Porcellato, the presentation was hosted by the Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee, with high-level representatives including President Giovanni Malagò, CEO Andrea Varnier, and regional and national government officials.
Designed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato (IPZS) – an official sponsor of the Games – the medals feature a unique double-sided structure, representing both the individual journey of each athlete and para-athlete and the shared support of those who help them reach their dreams. The design symbolizes the connection between Milan and Cortina, two cities united by the Olympic and Paralympic spirit.
"These medals are more than awards. They represent the Italian soul, creativity, and the dreams of athletes from around the world," said Milano Cortina 2026 President Giovanni Malagò.
Each medal was crafted using eco-friendly processes powered entirely by renewable energy, showcasing the commitment to sustainability. They feature two interlocking halves, combining different textures and metals to reflect the power of teamwork, diversity, and dedication.
