Calgary (pps) After a three-year break, the two brothers Chris, 26, and Mike Moffat, 23, try to make a comeback in the Canadian luge team. They want to qualify for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy, in the doubles.

Chris Moffat and his then doubles partner Eric Pothier recorded the best Canadian Olympic luge result when they finished fifth in Salt Lake City. Pothier has been competing with Grant Albrecht since the 2002-2003 season. Albrecht was the partner of Mike Moffat until 2002. Albrecht-Pothier, who achieved their best result last winter at Calgary in fifth position, are striving for their first podium result this season. Canada’s hope in the women’s event is Regan Lauscher, who recorded the best Canadian World Cup result ever when finishing runner-up at Lake Placid.
