Altenberg (pps) Sweden`s athlet Bengt Walden, Germany`s Anke Wischnewski und the doubles Sebastian Schmidt/André Forker won the qualication for the Viessmann World Cup in Luge at Altenberg (GER). Wischnewski finished in 54,327 seconds followed by Austria`s Nina Reithmayer (54,544) and USA`s Brenna Margol (54,873). Walden won in 55,913 seconds fol-lowed by Latvia`s Martins Rubenis (55,929), the 2004 Bronze Medalist of the World Championships, and John Myles (55,939) from USA. Schmidt/Forker finished in 43,161 seconds followed by Italy`s Hans-Peter Fischnal-ler/Klaus Kofler (43,364) and Ivan Nevmergiski/Vladimir Prohorov (43,405) from Rus-sia. Thus, there are 15 men, twelve women and seven doubles who are qualified for the Viessmann World Cup in Altenberg.
