Moscow (pps) Bernd Hahn, together with his brother Ulrich World doubles champion in 1974, 1975 and 1981, has started working as a coach for the Russian Federation. The former luger from Saxony, who had coached teams from France and Sweden, shall advise Olympic silver medallist Albert Demchenko and his Russian teammates until the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. Should Sotchi on the Black Sea - apart from Salzburg (Austria) and Pyeongchang (South Korea) one of the candidates bidding to host the 2014 Olympic Games - prevail over its competitiors, a long-term co-operation is possible. Bernd Hahn’s biggest success as coach so far is a third place of Johan Rousseau (France) at the pre-Olympic test for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. His brother Ulrich is working as Technical Director for the Track Company Altenberg.
