Ticket sales for 2023 Luge and Biathlon World Championships have started
Oberhof - Advance ticket sales for the two World Championships in luge (27 - 29.01.2023) and biathlon (08 - 19.02.2023) have already started. Winter sports fans can buy tickets for the respective sports live at a ticket event on Oberhof's town square and digitally online at www.oberhof23.de or combine them.
Luge tickets from as little as 8 euros
The organisers of the 2023 World Luge Championships start their advance sales together with the biathletes. On the newly renovated track in the LOTTO Thuringia EISARNEA, the spectators can expect a rendezvous of the international luge elite for a good week. Among them are also numerous athletes who are at home on the track at the Rennsteig. Those who want to cheer on the luge aces already during the training runs from Tuesday to Thursday can do so with a day ticket starting at 8 euros. For the races from Friday to Sunday, track tickets cost 20 euros and grandstand tickets 25 euros. Also on offer are 2 or 3-day tickets, which are priced from 38 to 60 euros, or VIP tickets, which are priced between 140 and 160 euros.
Combination ticket for weekdays
For the first time, both sports will also offer a combination ticket. For 41 to 44 euros (depending on the day of the week for biathlon), fans can then watch the Friday races in luge and the races of the biathletes on a weekday from Tuesday to Friday.
Sustainability and environmental protection
Both organisers aim to make the events as sustainable and resource-saving as possible in the run-up to the event. An important part of this is the minimisation of individual transport, i.e. the car-bound journey to the World Championships region around Oberhof. Therefore, the ticket price already includes a share for public transport. The aim of the organisers, together with the railways and local transport companies, is to shift the journey within a radius of up to 50km to public transport as a matter of priority.
