Opener Victories for Tatjana Hüfner, David Möller und Leitner/Resch

Calgary (pps) Germany’s luge team dominated the season‘s opener in Tiscover Challenge Cup at Calgary. Tatjana Hüfner, David Möller and Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch won the first competition at “Canada Olympia Park”.

In the women’s final two-time World Champion Tatjana Hüfner bat her teammate Natalie Geisenberger. Third Place went to Canada’s Alex Gough, who has finished the World Championships 2009 at Lake Placid on fourth place. Two-time World Champion David Möller was in front of two-time Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler (Italy) by just one thousand of a second. Third place captured Russia’s Albert Demtschenko. Each of both winners in women and men competition got 2.000 Euro price money.

In Doubles Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch, who won Gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt lake City, took home the victory and a price money of 2.400 Euro followed by Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber from Italy and Latvia’s Andris Sics/Juris Sics.
