At the home race in Laas Nadine Staffler (ITA) celebrated her second win of the season in the FIL Luge Junior World Cup on Natural Track. The local hero won in 2:13.27 minutes 0,41 seconds ahead of Lisa Walch (GER), who was in the lead after the first run. Third place for Riccarda Ruetz (AUT / + 1.26).
There was a one-two-three for Italy: Daniel Gruber, in second position after the first run, won in 2:10.17 minutes ahead of his team-mates Florian Haselrieder (+0.21) and Fabian Brunner (+1.50). It was the first win of the season for Gruber.
Maximilian Pichler/Matthias Pichler celebrated their second victory of the season in the doubles. The Austrians prevailed against the Russians Vladimir Levichev/Viacheslav Kudriavtsev (+0.20) and Alex Oberhofer/Fabian Brunner (ITA / + 0.31).
The FIL Luge Junior World Cup on Natural Track will take place on Januar 25th-26th with the finals in St. Sebastian (replaces Unterammergau). The Junior World Championships in St. Sebastian (AUT) will follow from January 31st to February 2nd.
