This information was recently published by the “Thüringer Schlitten- und Bobsportverband e.V.” (Sled and Bobsleigh Federation of Thuringia). According to this information, „to a large extent the work as regards organization and content will be realized by the permanent staff of the OC, who already performed these tasks before. This means that a loss or decrease of quality in the preparations and staging of the Luge World Cups in Oberhof is not to be expected”.

In the past years, the Viessmann World Cup in Oberhof was staged under the auspices of the „Wintersportförderverein Rennsteig Oberhof (WSRO)” (Winter sport support association Rennsteig Oberhof), which was also responsible for the World Cups in biathlon, Nordic skiing and Nordic combined. „Various aspects induced us to change this policy from the year 2009 on”, reported the TSBV.
