Park City (RWH) The two Canadians Caitlin Nash and Natalie Corless wrote a new chapter in the history of the International Luge Federation (FIL). At the Junior World Cup in Park City the two girls, both not older than 18 years, won the first ever race in women’s doubles. At the premiere of the new discipline in the Youth A the Canadian pair relegated Maya Chan/Reannyn Weiler from the USA to second place. Marketa Novakova/Anna Vejdelkova (CZE) finished third.

All of this action is leading up to the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, when the women’s doubles will be part of the program for the very first time. The YOG races for luge, bobsleigh and skeleton will take place in St. Moritz.
