U23 World Champion Julia Taubitz to compete in the Junior World Championships in Winterberg

Winterberg (RWH)  The newly crowned U23 World Champion Julia Taubitz from Germany is set to add some extra sparkle to the 31st International Luge Federation (FIL) Junior World Championships in Winterberg this coming weekend (6-7 February 2016). At 19 years of age, Taubitz, who finished sixth in the World Championships in Königssee, is still entitled to compete in the junior category.

Other competitors in the Junior World Championships who gained valuable championship experience in Königssee include Madeleine Egle (AUT), Theo Gruber (ITA) and Reid Watts (CAN). A total of 22 nations have registered for the Junior World Championships, with 48 men, 36 women and 14 doubles pairings expected to take to the start line.
