Ulla Zirne, Bley and Chmielewski/Kowalewski Winner of Nationscup

Lillehammer (RWH) The Nation’s Cup in Lillehammer was won by Latvia’s Ulla Zirne,  Sebastian Bley from Germany and Poland’s double Wojciech Chmielewski-Jakub Kowalewski.  At the qualifying races for the Viessmann Luge World Cup on Saturday and Sunday (January 18,19) on the 1994 Olympic Track, Ulla Zirne relegated Brittney Arndt from the USA and Raluca Stramaturaru (ROU) to second and third place.

In men’s race, behind Sebastian Bley Jozef Ninis (SVK) finished on second place. Third place went to Stepan Fedorov from Russia. Kristens Putins-Imants Marcinkevics (LAT) captured second place in double’s race ahead of Tomas Vavercak/Matej Zmij (SVK ).
