Ulla Zirne, Rozitis and Sics-Sics Winner of Nationscup

Lillehammer (RWH) On their home track Latvia’s luge team demonstrated their power. Local heroes Ulla Zirne, Riks Kristens Rozitis and Andris Sics/Juris Sics in doubles won the Nations Cup, the qualifying races for the Viessmann Luge World Cup on Saturday and Sunday (January 25, 26) in Sigulda, Latvia.

Ulla Zirne relegated Natalie Maag (SUI) and Ashely Farquharson (USA) to second and third place. In men’s race, behind Riks Kristens Rozitis Jonathan Gustafson  (USA) finished on second place. Third place went to Moritz Bollmann from Germany. In double’s race, the Canadians Tristan Walker/Justin Snith captured second place ahead Wojciech Chmielewski/Jakub Kowalewski (POL).
