The nine medals went to four different luge federations. At the “under 23” championships, carried out in the so-called “race-in-race” format within the 43rd FIL Luge World Championships in Altenberg, Felix Loch defeated Evgeniy Voskresenskiy of Russia and Italy’s Dominik Fischnaller. In the women’s singles, Tatiana Ivanova took the podium’s top spot ahead of Canadian Dayna Clay and Sandra Gasparini of Italy. The team of Denisyev-Antonov defeated Tristan Walker-Justin Snith (Canada) and Ludwig Rieder-Patrick Rastner (Italy) relegating them to second and third places, respectively.
