The final version of the race calendar is available two months before the start of the FIL Luge World Cup on natural track. This brings changes both in the general class and in the Junior World Cup.

The crystal globes for the overall winners in gold, silver and bronze

Berchtesgaden (FIL/October 21st, 2022) In January 2023, three World Cups in South Tyrol (ITA) were originally planned. The World Cup premiere in Jaufental/Val di Giovo from January 13th-15th stays on the calendar, as does the classic from January 27th to 29th in Deutschnofen/Nova Ponente. No organizer could be found for the appointment from January 6th-8th, therefor the races went back to the FIL. The luge association has now awarded Mariazell/St. Sebastian (AUT) as the host of the second World Cup stage. The luge stronghold in northern Upper Styria made its comeback in the World Cup in February after a four-year break. From February 3rd-5th Mariazell/St. Sebastian is also the venue for the Junior European Championships in natural track luge.

The second adjustment concerns the Junior World Cup: The finale on January 28th-29th will not be held in Unterammergau (GER) as planned, but in Umhausen (AUT). Thus, both the Junior World Cup and the FIL World Cup come to an end on the demanding "Grantau"-track.
