US-American Duncan Kennedy strengthens Canada's coaching team

Calgary (RWH) The US-American Duncan Kennedy strengthens the Canadian luge coach team. The three-time Olympic participant (1988, 1992 and 1994) will be part of the team of head coach Wolfgang Staudinger and his German assistant Bernhard Glass as of June 1, 2020, the Canada Luge Association (CLA) announced in Calgary.

Kennedy, who enjoys an excellent reputation for his sledding expertise, finished second overall in the World Cup twice (1992 und 1994) as an active participant. In 1994, the now 52-year-old was among the potential medallists, but crashed in Lillehammer, Norway. Kennedy, who has also worked as a TV commentator, was most recently responsible for the Romanian team as coach. Previously, he was part of the team of India's six-time Olympic starter Shiva Keshavan.
