Lake Placid (pps) The US luge team started its preparation for the new season as early as never before. Since the beginning of October the squad of coach Wolfgang Schaedler is back on the sleds –in Lake Placid since October 6. After, they move on to continue their training in Park City on October 16. The track of the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City will be host to the upcoming World Championships.

It was Jonathan Myles who took the inaugural run on the artificial track in Lake Placid. “It was a wonderful feeling to be back on the sled”, explained Myles. “It’s really great to have the track open this early in the season and to have it in such a good shape.”
