US Team dominates American-Pazific Championships

Park City (RWH) The winners of the American-Pacific Championships 2016 staged by the International Luge Federation (FIL) are Erin Hamlin, Tucker West and Matt Mortensen/Jayson Terdiman. The Championships were decided using a race-in-race format at the Viessmann World Cup in Calgary.

Erin Hamlin, the 2009 World Champion and Olympic bronze medallist in 2014, managed to win the third title in a row. Emily Sweeney finished second ahead of Canadian slider Alex Gough. In the men’s event, West relegated his teammates Chris Mazdzer and Taylor Morris into second and third places respectively. In the doubles, Matthew Mortensen/Jayson Terdiman won for the second time. Silver went to Justin Krewson/Andrew Sherk and Bronze to Jacob Hyrns/Anthony Espinoza, all from USA.
