Berlin (FIL) On June 27/28, 2008, the 43rd FIL World Championships 2012 will be awarded at the 56th Congress of the International Luge Federation (FIL) in Calgary, Canada. Candidate cities are Altenberg in Germany and the Olympic track for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

The 41st FIL World Championships will be staged in Lake Placid (USA) from February 6 to 8, 2009. The 2010 European Championships will take place in Sigulda, Latvia. The venue of the 42nd FIL World Championships in 2011 will be the 2006 Olympic track in Cesana-Pariol, Italy.
