Berchtesgaden (pps) Harald Steyrer of Austria, Vice President of Finance of the International Luge Federation (FIL), celebrated his 60th birthday on June 21, 2013. During the 1997 FIL Congress in Olympia (Greece) Steyrer was appointed successor to the late Helmut Ganster.

Steyrer, born in Reichenau/Rax in Lower Austria, was active in natural luge and held different positions within the Austrian Luge Federation (ÖRV). Steyrer was a trainee at Ganster’s tax consultancy.
