Berchtesgaden (pps) The International Luge Federation (FIL) mourns the death of Werner Kropsch. The Vice-President Sport Natural Track passed away in St. Pölten on Wednesday, April 14, just a few months before his 60th birthday. “With him, the international sport of luge has not only lost an outstandingly committed sport official, but also a very dear friend”, the FIL said.
Werner Kropsch had been the Chairman of the Sport Commission Natural Track before he became Vice-President Sport Natural Track in 1998. He held this position until his death. The memorial service followed by the funeral will take place in the ceremony hall 1 of the municipal main cemetary in St. Pölten on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 14:00.
