Victoriia Demchenko, Kindl and Walker/Snith Winner of Nationscup

Altenberg (RWH) Russia`s Victoriia Demchenko, former World Champion Wolfgang Kindl from Austria and Tristan Walker/Justin Snith (CAN) are the Winners of the Nationscup in Altenberg. In the qualification race for the Viessmann Luge World Cup upcoming weekend the daughter of Albert Demchenko, three-time Silver Medallist of Olympic Winter Games, relegated her team-mate Ekaterina Baturina to second place, Raluca Stramaturaru from Romania finished on third. Aileen Frisch from Korea, who finished on ninth place in Nationscup,  was decorated as Champion of Asia.

Second place behind 2017 World Champion Kindl was secured by Kristers Aparjods (LAT), the Gold Medallist of the 2016 Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway.  Third place went to Valentin Cretu from Romania.  Tristan Walker/Justin Snith won the doubles race. Second and third place went to Italia`s Ivan Nagler/Fabian Malleier and Aleksandr Denisev/Vladislav Antonov from Russia. Korea’s Jinyong Park/Doung Kyu Kang were decorated as Champions of Asia.
