Calgary (pps) One week after just finishing on sixth place at the 41 FIL World Championships at Lake Placid (USA) Germany’s Tatjana Hüfners reached once more the best line in the track. At Calgary (CAN), 8th station of the Viessmann Luge World, the two-time World Champion realized her sixth victory of the season. It was already the 16th success of the Bronze Medalist of 2006 Winter games in Torino Viessmann Luge World Cup. Hüfner won I a total time of one minute 35,178 seconds and has now an advantage of 85 points in the overall standings of the Viessmann Luge World Cup. At the finale of the Viessmann Luge World Cup next week at Whistler (CAN) she can realize her second overall title. Second place at Calgary went to her team-mate Natalie Geisenberger (0,186 seconds back). With 685 points Geisenberger is also second in the overall standings behind Hüfner (770 points.). Third place at Calagry went to Austria’s Veronika Halder (0,208 seconds back). She realized her best result of the pre-Olympic season. Canada’s Alex Gough, fourth last Week at the Worlds, made a sixth place. It was her best result in Viessmann World cup ever. The reigning World Champion Erin Hamlin from USA finished on seventh place. This is her second best result of the season 2008/2009 in Viessmann World Cup.
