Igls (pps) Germany`s Luge team has won the Overall Team Competition. In the 4th race of the Team Competion at Igls (Austria) Germany celebrated his 4th victory and is in the lead of the overall standings with a total of 400 points. In best case Italy – with 300 points on second place – can catch up in the final race at the Worlds at Nagano.
Germany won at Igls in the line-up with David Möller, Sylke Otto and Andre Florschütz/Torsten Wustlich in a total time of 2 minutes 9,241 seconds followed by by Austria (2:09,449) with Sonja Manzenreiter, Markus Kleinheinz and Tobias Schiegl/Markus Schiegl and the US-Team (2:09,829) with Ashley Hayden, Tony Benshoof and Mark Grimmette/Brian Martin. Italy (2,10,854) with Armin Zöggeler, Anastasia Antonova-Oberstolz und Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber finished on fourth place.
In the Overall Standings Germany leads with 400 points followed by Italy (300), Austria (295), USA (236) and Canada (236).
