Second season’s success for Russia’s Albert Demtschenko

Königssee (pps) Germany’s luger have to wait one more year to celebrate the first victory in Viessmann World cup since December 2001. In the Olympic Winter Russia’s Albert Demtschenko realized his 47h success on the oldest artificial track of the World. With track records in both runs Demtschenko won in front of Italy’s two-time Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler. Third Place went to Germany’s David Möller.

Finishing on 4th place Andi Langenhan caught Germany’s last free ticket for the Olympic Winter Games at Vancouver. Austria’s Daniel Pfister, who realized 6th place behind Russia’s Viktor Kneib, caught as well the Olympic ticket.

Tony Benshoof from U.S.A. finished on 13th place, Canada’s Sam Edney realized 15th place.
