Jan Eichhorn outstrips Silke Kraushaar-Pielach and Armin Zöggeler
Oberhof (rwh) With his jump from rank 15 to rank one Germany’s Jan Eichhorn realized an outstanding achievement in Viessmann Luge World Cup. Never ever before an athlete improved so much from first to second run.
So far Italy’s two-time Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler jumped from 8th to to top position. This happened on November 23rd 2003 at Altenberg (GER). On the same day, Germany’s Olympic Champion 1998 and World Champion 2004 Silke Kraushaar-Pielach improved from rank ten to first place. Bengt Walden from USA improved on Saturday from 19th place after first run to ninth place at the end. And Germany’s two-time Olympic Champion Sylke Otto improved from ninth place after first run to rank three at the Olympic test competition on February 2001 in Salt Lake City (USA).
