Hüfner with fifth season’s victory close to third overall victory

Oberhof (pps) Germany’s two times World Champion Tatjana Hüfner won the last but one Viessmann Luge World Cup of the season.
At the luge track in Oberhof (GER), Hüfner at her fifth season’s victory in a total time of one minute 25,963 seconds banned the Vice World Champion of 2007 Anke Wischnewski (GER, 0,267 seconds back) and European Champion Natalie Geisenberger (GER, 0,386 seconds back) to rank two and three.
Hüfner at her 21st victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup in first run also improved the two years old track record of Geisenberger to now 42,920 seconds.
Best athlete of the US-team was World Champion Erin Hamlin (USA, one minute 27,188 seconds) who finished eighth.
Tatjana Hüfner with now 670 points is close to her third overall victory in Viessmann Luge World Cup in a row after 2008 and 2009. Second in overall rankings is Natalie Geisenberger (610) followed by Anke Wischnewski (470).
