Slovakia’s Jozef Ninis won the men’s race in 49,761 seconds followed by Olympic bronze-medallist Martins Rubenis (LAT, 49,828) and local hero Guntis Rekis (LAT, 49,869). The women’s Nations Cup won local hero Maija Tiruma (LAT, 43,446 seconds) followed by her teammate and Olympic-seventh Anna Orlova (LAT, 43,467) and Liliya Ludan (UKR, 43,706). Winners of the Nations Cup at doubles are the Olympic Silver medallists of 2002, Mark Grimette/Brian Martin (USA, 43,921). Their temmates Christian Niccum/Daniel Joye (USA, 43,939) finished second, Russia’s Michail Kuzmich/Stanislav Mikheev (43,982) came on third rank.
