Quotes:
Armin Zöggeler (ITA, Olympic Champion 2002 and 2006, five times World Champion, six times Overall Champion in VIESSMANN Luge World Cup)
„I am very satisfied. My first aim was the overall World Cup. To manage that with a victory is optimal. Even when I was clearly leading before the race, on the hard track in Sigulda a crash is always possible. I am glad that I have won.”
Martins Rubenis (LAT, Olympic bronze medallist 2006, Vice World Champion 2003, third at World Championships 2004)
„The first run was super, the second not so perfect. I am not angry that I have lost but I am happy about my second rank.”
Albert Demtschenko (RUS, Olympic silver medallist 2006, European Champion 2006)
„I am not happy about my third rank. Of course I want to win every time but here in Sigulda rank three had cost me the third rank in overall World Cup. That is especially annoying.“
