Germany winner of the Team Relay World Cup

Winterberg (pps) Germany won the Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by INTERSPORT thanks to their victory in Winterberg at the fifth of six events in the World Cup series. With 470 points to their credit, Germany is on top of the overall rankings and cannot be defeated any more. The final will be carried out in Sigulda, Latvia, on February 19, 2012.

The German team with Anke Wischnewski, Felix Loch and the doubles Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt clocked a time of 2:26.956 minutes, defeating the US team with Erin Hamlin, Chris Mazdzer and Christian Niccum-Jayson Terdiman (0.702 seconds behind) to second place. Latvia, with Maija Tiruma, Inars Kivlenieks as well as Andris and Juris Sics, finished on third position (1.042 seconds behind).

On second place behind Germany in the overall rankings is now team Canada (337 points), in Winterberg on eighth place, followed by Russia (335), this time with a fifth-place result.
