Leitner/Resch starts their final Season with 33rd Victory Calgary (pps) Patric Leitner/Alexander Resch, the Olympic Champions 2002 at Salt Lake City, started in their last luge season with an unexpected success. Just on sixth place after first run the couple won the season’s opener in Viessmann World cup at Calgary and celebrated the 33rd victory of their carrier. Leitner/Resch won in a total time of one minute 27.855 seconds followed by their teammates André Florschuetz/Torsten Wustlich (.031 seconds back) and Italy’s Christian Oberstolz/Patrick Gruber (.184 back).

Austria captured the places four to six with Andreas Linger/Wolfgang Linger, Tobias Schiegl/Markus Schiegl and Peter Penz/Georg Fischler. Mark Grimmette, the bronze Medalists of the Worlds 2009 in Lake Placid, finished on 8th place (.560 back). Canada’s Chris Moffat/Mike Moffat realized 10th place (.784 back).
