Calgary (pps) Armin Zöggeler is still the measure of the quality in Viessmann Luge World Cup. At the season’s opener at Calgary the two-time Olympic Champion from Italy celebrated his 46th success in Luge World Cup. The five-time World Champion won in a total time of one minute 30.068 seconds. Second place went to Germany’s David Möller (0.056 seconds), who realized four of his eight World Cup victories at Calgary. Russia’s Albert Demtschenko (+0.098) finished third followed by two-time World Champion Felix Loch (+0.153) from Germany.
Canada’s Sam Edney (+0.192) surprised on 5th place and missed the podium just by one tenth of a second. Tony Benshoof (+0.423) followed by Austria Reinhard Egger (+0.444), who made his debut in Viessmann World cup at Calgary.
