Viktoriia Demchenko, Kivlenieks und Gudramovics/Kalnins Winner of Nationscup

Königssee (RWH) The Nation’s Cup in Königssee was won by Russia’s Viktoriia Demchenko, Inars Kivlenieks from Latvia and the double of Oskars Gudramovics/Peteris Kalnins (LAT). At the qualifying races for the Viessmann Luge World Cup on Saturday and Sunday (January 5,6) the daughter of Albert Demchenko, threefold Olympic Silber Medallist, relegated Madeleine Egle and Birgit Patzer (both AUT) to second and third place.

In men’s race, behind Kivlenieks Austria’s Nico Gleirscher finished on second place. Third place went to Jonathan Gustafson from the USA.  

In double’s race second place was captured by Emanuel Rieder/Simon Kainzwaldner (ITA).  Russia’s Aleksandr Denisev/Vladislav Antonov finished on third place.
