Lisa Walch and Daniel Gruber have won the FIL Luge Junior World Cup on Natural Track. The German and the Italian won the finale in Sankt Sebastian.

The fourth and last stage of the Junior World Cup took place in Sankt Sebastian (AUT) on Sunday. In the juniors Lisa Walch set the best time in both runs and claimed her second win of the season in 2:24.55 minutes, ahead of the local heroines Riccarda Ruetz (+2.15) and Vanessa Markt (+3.92). With this victory Walch also won the overall standings with 345 points, 14 points ahead of Nadine Staffler (ITA), who finished in 7th place in the finale in Sankt Sebastian. Ruetz finished third in the overall standings with 310 points.

In the juniors Daniel Gruber also celebrated his second win of the season, with a time of 2:21.58 minutes the Italian was 0.92 seconds faster than Miguel Brugger (AUT), who was ranked third after the first run behind Florian Haselrieder (ITA). With 345 points Gruber won the overall standings ahead of Haselrieder (340) and Fabian Brunner (ITA) with 270 points.

In the doubles Maximilian Pichler/Matthias Pichler (AUT) are the measure of all things, the young Styrians celebrated their third victory in a row in 1:17.64 minutes, ahead of the Russians Vladimir Levichev/Viacheslav Kudriavtsev (+0.68) and the Slovenians Bine Mekina/Blaz Mekina (+0.74). The race result is also the result in the overall standings: Pichler/Pichler won with 385 points, ahead of Levichev/Kudriavtsev (280) and Mekina/Mekina (275).

Sankt Sebastian is the host of the FIL Junior World Championships scheduled from January 31st to February 2nd.
