Quotes

Tobias Wendl (GER, Olympic Champion 2014, World Champion 2013, 2015 and 2016):

“This has been an incredible run of wins, even for us. Every year we withstand the pressure, and we weren’t nervous at all. We know what we can do. It gives us a confidence boost for the races to come. If we get everything right, we can beat Eggert/Benecken.”

Toni Eggert (GER / World Champion 2017, European Champion 2013 and 2016):

“We gave away the win today. We clearly had the advantage, and we shouldn’t forget that. Finishing second after a mistake like that: the others need to learn how to do that too.”

Robin Geueke (GER / World Championship bronze in 2017):

“We had a plan in mind to make it to the finish line after two solid runs. And we managed it. It’s an advantage that we know the German tracks very well.
