Winterberg takes over EBERSPÄCHER World Cup
 

Berchtesgaden (FIL) The final of the EBERSPÄCHER Luge World Cup of the 2022/2023 season will take place on the weekend of February 24-26, 2023 in Winterberg (GER), Sauerland.

After the cancellation of the first EBERSPÄCHER Luge World Cup of the 2022/2023 season in November 2022 in Innsbruck (AUT), the International Luge Federation, FIL is pleased about the readiness of the track operators of the VELTINS EisArena Winterberg to take over the World Cup final of the lugers at short notice. The opening event of the EBERSPÄCHER series in November 2022 had to be cancelled on Monday, August 1, 2022, due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar starting on November 21 and the lack of live television coverage.

The international luge season with nine EBERSPÄCHER World Cups and the season highlight with the 51st FIL World Championships in Oberhof (GER) will now start from December  2 to 4, 2022 in the Tyrolean Olympic city of Innsbruck and will end from February 24 to 26 in Winterberg (GER).
