Last year Germany’s women celebrated 100th victory Winterberg (pps) At last year’s Viessmann Luge World Cup in Winterberg, Germany’s women lugers had good reason to celebrate. Tatjana Huefner’s top spot on the podium was the 100th consecutive victory of Germany’s women in the World Cup series. Alex Gough of Canada achieved third place last year. Ultimately, she was the one to end the winning streak of Germany’s women after 105 victories in Paramonovo (RUS), on February 12, 2011. The other winners were Armin Zoeggeler (ITA) in the men’s singles as well as Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt (GER) in the doubles. Winner of last year’s Team Relay Event was Germany ahead of Italy and Austria. Winterberg will be hosting its 22nd Viessmann Luge World Cup this weekend.
