Witold Bańka to replace Sir Craig Reedie as WADA President

Katowice (RWH) Witold Bańka is officially confirmed as President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Starting on Januar 2020, Poland's Minister of Sport will be the replacement for Sir Craig Reedie (GBR). This decision was made by the 5th World Doping Conference in the International Congress Centre of Katowice, Poland.

Representatives of the International Luge Federation (FIL) have been Secretary General Einars Fogelis (LAT) and Executive Director Christoph Schweiger (AUT). Overall there have been assembled more than 1,600 Delegates.

The World Anti-Doping Agency is a foundation initiated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) based in Montreal, Canada, to promote, coordinate and monitor the fight against drugs in sports.
