Wolfgang Kindl and Dominik Fischnaller Winner of national title

Innsbruck-Igls/Oberhof (RWH) World Champion Wolfgang Kindl from Austria and Italy’s Dominik Fischnaller have won the national titles. On the Olympic ice channel of Innsbruck-Igls, Kindl, on second place in the overall standing of the Viessmann Luge World Cup, relegated Olympic Champion David Gleirscher and younger brother Nico Gleirscher to second and third place. On the artificial track of Oberhof, Germany, Dominik Fischnaller won ahead of his cousin Kevin.

Women’s races have been won by Birgit Platzer in Austria and Andrea Vötter at the Italian Championships. Platzer secured victory in front of the two 18 years old Lisa Schulte and Hannah Prock. At the Italian Championship second and third place went to Verena Hofer and Sandra Robatscher. In doubles Thomas Steu-Lorenz Koller won their first title in Austria, in Italy the title was won by Ludwig Rieder-Patrick Rastner.
