Fifth season’s victory for Tatjana Hüfner (GER)
Oberhof (pps). Germany’s two time World Champion Tatjana Hüfner is the winner of the Viessmann Luge World Cup in Oberhof (GER). The Olympic Bronze Medalist of 2006 in one minute 26.493 seconds banned her teammate and Vice World Champion Natalie Geisenberger (GER, one minute 26.621 seconds) to rank two and celebrated her fifth victory in six races. Anke Wischnewski (GER, one minute 27.108 seconds) finished third.
Best athlete of the Canadian team was Meaghan Simister (one minute 28.147 seconds) on rank 10. For the ninth of World Championships 2008 it was the best result of the season.
In the overall ranking of Viessmann Luge World Cup, Tatjana Hüfner with her victory in Oberhof enlarged her leadership to 585 points. Natalie Geisenberger (GER, 500 points) is second, followed by Anke Wischnewski (392).
