Berchtesgaden (pps) The current World Champions Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch and Tobias Wendl-Tobias Arlt will be heading the German team at the Viessmann Luge World Cup events in the upcoming Olympic winter.

Also nominated for the season opener on November 16-17 in Lillehammer, Norway, are Olympic Champion Tatjana Huefner, who could not participate in any of the seeding races due to back problems, Anke Wischnewski as well as 2011 Junior World Champion Dajana Eitberger. Aileen Frisch, Eitbergers successor as Junior World Champion, will join the German team for the Viessmann Luge World Cup in Innsbruck -Igls, one week later (November 23-24).

Additionally to Olympic Champion Loch, the German Bobsleigh and Sled Sports Federation (BSD) nominated former World Champion David Moeller as well as former European Champion Andi Langenhan for the men’s singles events. Johannes Ludwig, 2013 World bronze medalist, and the multiple junior World Champion Julian von Schleinitz will complete the squad.

Apart from the doubles team with Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt, Germany’s head coach Norbert Loch nominated the World silver medalists Toni Eggert-Sascha Benecken as well as Daniel Rothamel-Toni Förtsch for the doubles’ events.
