World Champions Russia take victory ahead of Olympic and European Champions

Altenberg (RWH) The Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW ended with the World Champions taking victory ahead of the Olympic Champions and European Champions. The Russian squad of Tatyana Ivanova, Semen Pavlichenko and Aleksandr Denisev/Vladislav Antonov finished ahead Germany’s quartet of Julia Taubitz, Felix Loch and Toni Eggert/Sascha Benecken in second, and the Italian team comprising Andrea Vötter, Dominik Fischnaller and Emanuel Rieder/Simon Kainzwaldner in third.  The Austrian squad (Madeleine Egle, David Gleirscher and Thomas Steu/Lorenz Koller) came home in fourth place and are still awaiting their first team relay win.

After two of six events in the Viessmann Team Relay World Cup, Italy are still at the top of the overall standings on 170 points, having claimed victory in the season opener in Innsbruck. The German team currently lies second overall (155), with Russia in third (146).
