Cesana (pps) The decision in the Team Relay Event at the 42nd World Championships of the International Luge Federation, FIL, in Cesana, Italy, had to be cancelled due to technical difficulties. Even during a second round of the competition the electronics of the start mechanism mulfunctioned.

“I have no explanation”, said FIL President Josef Fendt. “This winter we’ve already carried out five Team Relay Events without any problem whatsoever – these were more than 60 runs of the team relay that went off without a hitch. And then, just at the season’s highlight, the technics fail...”
