World Championships song: Samu's BAM BAM becomes the luge anthem 

Oberhof (TSBV-FIL/21 Jan 2023) The 51st FIL Luge World Championships now also have their own World Championship song. With this, the Thuringian party artist Daniel "Samu" Samorey will not only sing his way into the hearts of the thousands of luge fans in Thuringia, but at the same time create a winter sports hit that has absolute party potential on every luge and ski slope. In doing so, the lyrics and melody combine the experience that everyone has already had while sledding on the hill behind their house with the adrenaline-filled racing sport in the ice channel. 

"When the Thuringian Luge and Bobsledding Federation approached me and asked if I could help with the World Championship song, I really knew little about the sport. When I then stood on the track for the first time at a training session in Oberhof, I was really scared shitless just watching," reports the mood-setter, who usually brings summer party fans at Mallorca’s Ballermann to ectasy. "The people here are like a big family. They really get a lot going in their volunteer work. As a father, I think it's great when I see children who are enthusiastic about sports and that's exactly what we have here in Oberhof. For me it is a matter of honor that I help with the song. Together with the federation we adapted the lyrics without diminishing the beat and the power of BAM BAM BAM", says the artist. 

WCh organizing committee boss Uwe Theisinger: "We are happy that Samu has taken us by the hand and adapted his well-known hit for us. To all those who already know him, he can't get out of their ears. Of course, it will be part of the opening ceremony and you can hear it live."
