World Cup leader Kindl wins Austria’s title

Innsbruck (RWH) For the third time in a row Wolfgang Kindl, current leader of the Viessmann World Cup, has won Austria’s Championships in Luge. On the 1976 Olympic track in Innsbruck the 27 year old Kindl was followed by David Gleirscher and Reinhard Egger. Egger, who finished in 8th place at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, celebrated a successful comeback after his herniated vertebral disc last August.
Women’s race was won by Miriam Kastlunger followed by Birgit Platzer and Madeleine Egle. Peter Penz-Georg Fischler, the 2015 Silver Medalists of the World Championships, captured the title in doubles.
