Due to the lack of snow in Slovenia the track in Zelezniki can‘t be prepared for racing conditions. Therefore, the penultimate stop in the FIL Luge World Cup on Natural Track is relocated to Laas (ITA).

The finish section in Laas

The executive of the International Luge Federation FIL decided on Thursday that the FIL Luge World Cup on Natural Track will be transfered from Zelezniki to Laas. The reason for this is the lack of snow in Slovenia. The "Gafair"-track is already in a race-ready condition, as the FIL Junior World Cup was held in Laas in mid-January. Thus, for the first time since January 2015, a FIL Luge World Cup on Natural Track takes place in Laas.
